The Balearic Islands have the highest rate of buyers by foreigners

1 of 3 sold properties was purchased by a buyer who is not a Spanish citizen.

The National Registry presented the figures of 2014 which are impressive. In Spain, the percentage is 13%, in turn, it has risen in the Balearic Islands to 32.6%.

In 2014 9.248 properties were sold in the Balearic Islands (3470 new construction).
 
The Registry informed that the Germans are the greatest  purchasers of properties (34.5%), followed by the British (19.4%) and Sweden in third place (7%).

One of the reasons is the devaluation of the euro, which means for the foreign buyers that our prices are very competitive.

Moreover, it is worth to mention that 16.3% of the real estate registered a purchase value of EUR 500,000 or a higher value. This is closely linked to the famous "Golden Visa".

With regard to the living area of ​​the property, 51.5% were more than 80 square meters.

One last on accentuating point is that 18.8% of the properties were bought by companies. In the end it reflects the interest that investment is property purchase.
