Classical music will be played at La Misericordia in the month of July

For lovers of classical music, and at Illeslex Abogados we are, the month of July is undoubtedly special because of the performances of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands within the Estius Simfònics programme, which takes place in the Patio de la Misericordia. This is a complete cycle of concerts that combine the magic of the best international music with a setting as special and unique as the one chosen for this cycle.

The programme includes the soprano Nadine Sierra, the tenor Xabier Anduaga, the pianist Iván Martín, the oboist Lucas Macías, the soprano Pretty Yende, the Mallorcan violinist Francisco Fullana, as well as soloists from the Salzburg Festival and the Hamburg Opera.

Of the nine performances programmed, four are lyrical: the concert commemorating the 50th anniversary of Amics de s'Òpera de Maó (30th June); Soloists from the Salzburg Festival (6th July) with Tamara Bounazou, Carmen Artaza, Marvic Monreal, Josh Lovell, Doman Krizaj and Peter Kellner; the celebration of Joan Pons' 75th birthday with soprano Pretty Yende (4 August) and Soloists of the Hamburg Opera (10 August) with Marie-Dominique Ryckmanns, Kady Evanyshyn, Simon Yang and David Kang. For these evenings, arias from The Barber of Seville, Turandot, Rigoletto, Don Carlo, Elisir d'amore, Candide and The Marriage of Figaro, among others, will be performed.

In addition to these four lyrical concerts, the public will be able to enjoy a diverse programme with other performances: the solo oboist and conductor Lucas Macías (July 15th) with works by E. Grieg, J. S. Bach and A. Schönbere; the pianist Iván Martín (29th July) performing the concerto for piano and orchestra No. 19 by W. A. Mozart; and also the proposal 'A dream without violin' (22nd July), in which the Symphony will perform pieces by L. Spohr, J. Rodrigo and J. Brahms. The concerts will be conducted by Joji Hattori and the Symphony's chief conductor, Pablo Mielgo.

Finally, one of the main novelties offered by Estius Simfònics is the opportunity to see the Mallorcan violinist Francisco Fullana (8th July), as well as a soloist, as the conductor of the concert with a programme consisting of Serenade No. 6, "Serenata nocturna" by W. A. Mozart; Violin Concerto "Grosso Mogul" by A. Vivaldi and Divertimento for string orchestra, Béla Bartók.

From Illeslex Abogados we would like to take advantage of this publication to wish you a Happy Summer, may the music never stop playing.
