The National-Bank of Germany joins the XXV Nit de l'Art in celebration of its centenary

September arrives with a very full cultural agenda, with some truly exceptional proposals. As usual, this month will see a new edition of the Nit de l’Art, an event that has reached its 25th edition and is one of the most important and popular on the calendar of both the city of Palma and the island, which will bring together thousands of people on Saturday the 18th, strolling from gallery to gallery to enjoy contemporary art. On the days prior to the event, Art Palma Contemporani (APC), the organising entity, organises different events for a more specialised public, such as conferences and guided tours of the exhibitions.

One of the great novelties of this year's edition is that the National-Bank of Germany is joining the Nit de l'Art as a sponsor for the first time. As part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, the bank has also programmed an exhibition at the CCA Andratx. It will open on the 16th and will be open until the 27th of November, with works by artists such as Stephan Balkenhol, Joseph Beuys, Tony Cragg, Pia Fries, Katharina Grosse, Jörg Immendorff, Markus Lüpertz, Leunora Salihu, Tatjana Valsang, Cornelius Völker and many others. The exhibition has been organised by the Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur Bonn (Bonn Foundation for Art and Culture), of which Guillermo Dezcallar, founding partner of Illeslex Abogados, is a member of the board of trustees.  In his opinion "it is extraordinary news that the National-Bank of Germany is present at the Nit de l'Art and that it is bringing an important part of its magnificent art collection to the island. For Illeslex it is a real honour to be part of this project, which links us more closely to contemporary art, and above all allows us to contribute to bringing the work of top artists to the island so that the local public can enjoy it. It will certainly be well worth a visit to the CCA Andratx to see the works of Tony Cragg, Joseph Beuys and Stephan Balkenhol, among many others".

As for the Orquesta Sinfónica de las Illes Balears, three concerts are scheduled for September. The first of these will be held on Friday the 17th at the Trui Teatre, the Broadway Gala, conducted by Pablo Urbina. The following week, specifically on Saturday the 25th, in the Church of Santanyí and under the baton of the Orchestra's chief conductor, Pablo Mielgo, the Festival Santanyí will take place, with the soprano Lisa Larsson. And the last of the scheduled performances will take place on the 30th in Palma Auditorium, with Rafael Aguirre on guitar, once again conducted by Pablo Mielgo.
