Voluntary period for payment of the tourist stay tax for the year 2021 for holiday properties and other establishments in group eight

In accordance with the Collective notification of liquidations and announcement of collection of the tax on tourist stays corresponding to the financial year 2021, which was published last June in the Official Gazette of the Autonomous Community (BOIB no. 72) applicable to the tourist establishments included in Group Eight of Decree 35/2016[1] which are the following:   

Tourist campsites

Accommodation subject to the tourism commercialization

Accommodation subject to the commercialisation of tourist stays

Tourist accommodation for holidays

Non-residential accommodation establishments of tourist-residential enterprises

Other establishments or accommodation of a tourist character

It is announced that the voluntary payment period for the 2021 eco-tax bills will open from 1 September until 31 October 2022 inclusive.

Those who have not paid by direct debit can access the payment notices from 1 September, online at www.atib.es, or in person at the collection offices of the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands by appointment, which can be obtained online at www.atib.es > Appointment, or by calling 971 678 404.

As for the bills that have been paid by direct debit, it is reported that they will be sent to the respective banks to be charged to the taxpayers' accounts as of 17 October 2022.
